DanielBostock is running an event including some game giveaways to draw attention to Beyond Blue and the work they do to support people going through mental health issues, as part of their Beyond the Screen initiative. Even if you're not in a position to donate, you can still enter to win a free game, or spread the word among your social circle so that others might donate. Having had a touch of the darkness myself occasionally this is something I can really get behind.

This month's "Retro Let's Play" for July is Riven from 1997
Riven, the sequel to Myst. The often overlooked (by traditional gamers) and a much better game, Riven is a point and click adventure game played from a first person perspective. It has a rich story and builds an amazing and stunning world and is full of interesting puzzles and characters. Riven feels more like a place than a game at times due to it's stunning (even by today's standards) graphics and atmospheric soundscape. 2024 saw a triumphant return of this amazing game (it's about time as Myst has been re-released many many times) with a new remake built from the ground up in UE5 with a PCVR release as well which is jaw-droppingly gorgeous.
