Benchmarks

Benchmarks.
For benchmarking, I followed Agg's example in terms of what applications to run. All benchmarks were run 3 times, except for Far Cry (see below) and the results averaged.

Agg edit: Sciby has for some confusing reason called the Radeon cards "1650GT Pro" in the graphics. :) They are of course Radeon X1650 Pro cards. Bad Sciby!

The Crossfire setup came out on top here - I'm not sure why. but for the majority of the benchmarking, the 7950 edged out on top.

Far Cry.

For some unknown reason, the 7950GT refused to run at AA4, and the single X1650 Pro refused to run at AA8. I used the HardwareOC Far Cry Benchmarking tool for this benchmark, letting it run 5 times for each setting due to the way that Far Cry's demo loop is not the same every time. I then averaged the result.

Reunion has a long, very pretty demo, it's worth a look just for that alone.

This demo is the same one used by Agg in his Inno3D GeForce 7600GS AGP Video Card review.
